Hits Galore: Parker Drills 5 Hits Thursday, August 31st, 2023 There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Dave Parker of the Eau Claire Esquires had one of those moments when he went 5 for 6 at the plate today in the 17-1 win over the Surrey Sinners at Legion Ball Park. The 22-year-old shortstop told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." Dave Parker flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and doubled in the 8th. This season Parker has hit at a .250 clip with 57 RBIs, 16 home runs and 61 runs scored. He has played in 126 games. |
