Super Swinger -- Green Slams 5 Hits Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 It was a sensational day at the plate for Artie Green as he led the charge to a 26-9 win over the Redlegs. The Pensacola left fielder was pure misery for the Nashua pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Redlegs told BNN reporters after the game, "Green put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Artie Green singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. So far this season Green has 1 home run and a .270 batting average. |
