August's Premier Pitcher Announced By APL Friday, September 1st, 2023 Terry Fields hasn't been around the big leagues long enough to know that youngsters shouldn't be winning Appalachian League Pitcher of the Month. But when you put up numbers like his, you're going to get some notice. In August the Nantucket starter earned a 6-2 mark in 9 starts. He threw 52 innings, struck out 73 and compiled a solid 1.90 ERA. To date this season Fields is 17-8 with 38 starts and an ERA of 2.91 with 307 strikeouts in 216.1 innings. |
