APL Awards Player of the Week Trophy Monday, July 17th, 2023 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Appalachian League, but last week Leonard Young of the Athens Assassins reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Young rocked opposing pitching for a .517 average (15-for-29), 1 home run and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. Currently Young has 20 home runs and a .255 batting average. |
