Townsley Chosen MSL's Best Pitcher Sunday, October 15th, 2023 The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2023 has been presented and the Midwest League winner is Rich Townsley of Plumstead. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Townsley. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Eagles star told reporters. Townsley excelled with an impressive 22-4 record in 34 starts. In 199 innings he yielded 111 hits and 67 walks, while striking out 272 and compiling a fine 1.49 ERA. Ricardo Marino of the Erie Jaxx finished second in voting, while Ben Couch of the Cincinnati Pride finished third. |
