Garza Nabs MSL Weekly Award Monday, September 11th, 2023 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Midwest League, but last week Ángel Garza of the Bemidji Benders reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Garza rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (13-for-26), no home runs and 3 RBIs to come away with the award. In 96 games this season Garza is batting .281 with 87 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 62 runs and driven in 47. |
