MSL Player of the Week Named Monday, September 4th, 2023 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Midwest League, but last week Ben Morton of the Manhatten Meatheads reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Morton rocked opposing pitching for a .542 average (13-for-24), no home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. Morton is hitting .290 this year with no home runs and 22 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .359, 30 walks and scored 34 times. |
