Zimmerman Slams 5 Hits for Manhatten Sunday, August 27th, 2023 "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Manhatten's Pat Zimmerman told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well." It definitely turned out well for Zimmerman today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Minnesota. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Meatheads knocked off the Death Stars 6-1 at Manhattan Metro Field. Pat Zimmerman hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Gavin Robbins in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This year Zimmerman is batting .351 with 80 hits, 7 home runs, 38 RBIs, 27 walks, .431 OBP and has scored 34 runs. |
