Féliz Named ESL's #1 Hurler Saturday, October 28th, 2023 The Mt Pleasant clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Luis Féliz will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2023 Eastern League Outstanding Pitcher Award. Féliz made 32 starts this year, winning 14 and losing 7. He threw 172.2 innings, fanned 208, allowed 151 hits and 63 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .231 average as he logged an impressive 3.13 ERA. Armand Calazzo of the Newark Bulldogs finished second in voting, while Dave Smith of the Mt Pleasant Bearcats finished third. |
