Eastern League Picks Top Performer Monday, September 25th, 2023 23-year-old Esteban Salas made a few Springfield headlines during this past week as the rookie second baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Eastern League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 20 at-bats to put up a .350 average. Salas collected 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 7 runs. In his 2023 season totals, Salas has 6 home runs, .308 BA, .377 OBP, 35 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |
