Great Day for Martínez -- 5 Hits Monday, September 18th, 2023 Jesús Martínez of the Lima Oilers outhit everybody on the field today at Le Parc, but all for naught. Martínez personally tore up the Reading Rainbows with a 5-for-5 day, yet his club went down to defeat 13-9. Jesús Martínez hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Edward Baker in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season Martínez has delivered 15 hits in 42 at-bats for a .357 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .438 clip and his totals also include 8 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
