Hill Torches Oilers for 5 Hits Tuesday, July 25th, 2023 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Robin Hill. It was a very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Hill went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Lima pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond at Le Parc, he had a career 5-for-6 day and something he will long remember. And the Newark Bulldogs had a 8-2 victory over the Oilers. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Robin Hill singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. |
