Hart Powers 3 HR Against Key West Monday, June 19th, 2023 Three home runs in a game doesn't happen often. When it does it is something special to celebrate. And Ed Hart of Gainesville can celebrate it. He is now a member of the select group of players, who have hit three home runs in a single game. He powered three into the stands today at The Guido Ghetto against the Key West Barracudas. In all he was 3-for-5 as the Guidos toppled Key West 18-3, knocking in 6 runs and scoring 3 times. Hart told reporters after the game, "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run. Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today I tried on the last one." His manager added, "He is blessed with a natural home run swing. He gets the ball up in the air." Ed Hart hit a GRAND SLAM off Cade Baird in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Anastasio Flores in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Emmett Bush in the 8th. In 2023 Hart has hit at a .277 clip with 53 hits, 7 home runs, 34 RBIs and has scored 25 times. |
