Bly Batters Santa Fe Big Time Thursday, September 14th, 2023 Robert Bly exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Pecan Pit. The BlackIron catcher had a field day in the 17-0 triumph over the Santa Fe Diablos, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Bly must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Robert Bly singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. Currently Bly is batting .337 with 31 hits and 2 home runs. He has knocked in 12 runs and scored 14 times. |
