Star of the Week Named in NWL Monday, April 24th, 2023 Orlando Núñes must have thought he died and went to heaven this week. First he went on a remarkable batting rampage, hammering the ball at a .393 clip, then the Red Deer second baseman finds out he has been voted the league's top performer and gets the NWL Player of the Week Award. For the week Núñes batted .393 (11-for-28) with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs. Thus far this season Núñes has hit .321 with 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and scored 15 times. |
