Kelly Belts 5 Hits Saturday, September 30th, 2023 Allentown third baseman Garrott Kelly could do no wrong in today's 10-2 win over the Hounds as he collected 5 hits. "In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor... he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Hounds said to the press corps after the game. Kelly agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Garrott Kelly singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. This season Kelly is hitting .280 with 46 hits, 7 home runs, 34 RBIs, scored 31 runs and played in 87 games. |
