Trout Slayers Chill Phillips's Hot Streak Friday, September 8th, 2023 The Tuscaloosa Trout Slayers pitching did its job today, holding hot-hitting Robert Phillips hitless in 4 at-bats during a 13-2 victory over the Zanesville Gunslingers at Delorimier Stadium. This disappointing performance ended his 21-game hitting streak. "I'm a little down right now," Phillips said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." So far this year Phillips has hit .375 with 12 home runs, 75 RBIs and 58 runs scored. |
