Ray Watkins out of Lineup 15 Months Friday, August 4th, 2023 Amarillo fans held their breath as Ray Watkins left yesterday's Clams-Archdukes contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 24-year-old reliever had suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. It's estimated that he will be out 15 months. This year Watkins has collected 2 saves in 34 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 5-3 won-lost mark with a 7.52 ERA and fanned 59 batters in 58.2 innings. Opponents are hitting him at a .268 clip in 2023. |
