Thomas Pounds 3 HR Friday, August 4th, 2023 Every now and then, the right things happen at the right time. Peter Thomas discovered that when he smashed three homers at Tornado Alley during today's 15-1 win over the Portland Privateers. The Topeka left fielder said in the postgame interview, "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them. The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Thomas finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 6 RBIs. Peter Thomas hit a solo-shot off Steven de Vos in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Craig Aplin in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Craig Aplin in the 6th and walked in the 8th. So far this season Thomas has put up a .276 batting average with 35 hits, 12 home runs and 35 RBIs. |
