Monday, November 6th, 2023
One of the best at putting a stop to late-inning rallies this year was Dillon Nelson of the Los Cabos Cartel. For his stellar first season out of the bullpen, he has been chosen the National League Rookie of the Year Award winner for 2023.
He chalked up 1 relief appearance, no saves and a 15-14 record with a 3.38 ERA. In addition, Nelson threw 224 innings, struck out 217, and held the opposition to a .215 average.
Luis Vargas of the Baffin Island Beavers finished second in voting, while Luis Antonio Torres of the Maui Tropics finished third.
