Niagara Falls Takes Divisional Championship in Deciding Game Thursday, October 12th, 2023 When the entire season is on the line in one game Donovan Bird said you find out what a team is really all about. As it turns out the Niagara Falls Frenzy are made of fight and tenacity, as the team got by the Hendersonville Hitmen 4-3 tonight at Agent 47 Field in order to win the Divisional Championship and book a place in the next round. "It wasn't hard to get excited for this game. Our guys answered the call and proved a lot about what our team is all about," said Bird, whose strong offensive output earned him MVP honors. Bird hit .286 with a .333 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 8 runs. The Niagara Falls Frenzy will play against the Baffin Island Beavers in the next round. Baffin Island won their series against the Los Angeles Bruins 4 games to 0. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Championship finishes. |
