CL Starter of the Month Goes to Bamber Sunday, October 1st, 2023 Walter Bamber's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 6-0 in September, the 37-year-old Austin hurler has been named Continental League Pitcher of the Month. He fanned 37 in 37.1 innings, logged an ERA of 2.65 and allowed opponents to hit .204 against him. To date this season Bamber sports a 18-9 mark with a 3.42 ERA in 33 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .254 batting average and has 159 strikeouts in 184.1 innings. |
