Delgado Strokes 5 Hits Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 On top of the Pocatello hit parade today was José Delgado. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Boccabellas to a 9-4 victory over the Maui Tropics. The sweet swinging second baseman told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Tropics wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." José Delgado singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Thus far this year Delgado is hitting .298 with 10 home runs, 56 RBIs and 66 runs scored. |
