García Hitless, Stopped by Stars Saturday, August 26th, 2023 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Roberto García as he saw his 31-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 4 at-bats at the hands of the Stars. It wasn't all bad for the 27-year-old second baseman and the Austin River Sharks, as they defeated Springfield 6-2 at Greendale Community Field. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling García laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." This year García has 22 home runs and a .313 batting average. |
