Oscar Wheeler Hurt, Out 4 Weeks Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 The St Charles Sheens learned that Oscar Wheeler is likely to be out for 4 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Niagara Falls Frenzy. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a forearm strain. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the St Charles manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Oscar is back in action." So far this year Wheeler has made 24 starts, tossed 165.2 innings, struck out 173 batters and walked 35. His record is 10-8 with a 3.37 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .220 batting average. |
