Davis Has 30-Game Hitting Streak

The red-hot hitting Holden Davis is riding high with a 30-consecutive-game hitting streak and is drawing a lot of attention at the ballpark and in the press. The 17-year-old Evans HS catcher continued the streak today at Field of the Bullies with 1 hit in 5 at-bats as the Knights got the best of the Santa Fe HS Chiefs 18-13.
"It's great," one of his teammates said. "To be able to hit behind him and watch him, it's been fun. It's been fun and exciting to watch. Not only fans in Evans HS, but baseball fans everywhere appreciate what is going on right now, and it has everyone on the edge of their seats wondering what he is going to do." Holden Davis flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Rob Bolton in the 8th.
So far this season, Davis has recorded a .303 batting average with 40 hits, 2 home runs, 21 RBIs, 20 runs scored and a .408 OBP.
