Glendonwyn Belts 5 Hits Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023 What a day for Tim Glendonwyn of the Randall HS Raiders! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen every day! He ripped H.H. Dow HS pitching apart at Ballpark of Novato HS and sparked the Raiders to a 20-3 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing his special day 5 for 6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Glendonwyn told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that." Tim Glendonwyn hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Glendonwyn is hitting .323 so far this season with 21 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 32 hits including 2 home runs, 14 walks and .404 OBP. |
