Wolves Snap Vázquez's Streak at 23 Friday, April 28th, 2023 The Madawaska Valley HS Wolves did something to Héctor Vázquez no team had done for the last 23 games -- they held him hitless and stopped his consecutive-game hitting streak. But they didn't stop the Tigers. Coweta HS came away with a 6-4 victory at Typhoons Ballpark. Commenting on the demise of the streak, the 16-year-old third baseman told BNN, "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever, but it was a good ride while it lasted." This season Vázquez has hit at a .425 clip with 39 RBIs, 6 home runs and 23 runs scored. |
