Shephard Bashes 5 Base Hits Sunday, April 9th, 2023 Jeff Shephard really did a number on the Mountain Pointe HS in the Madawaska Valley HS 16-15 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 6 at-bats. But Jeff Shephard did just that today for the Wolves and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win. "I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 17-year-old catcher said after his record-setting performance. Jeff Shephard hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. For the year Shephard has hit at a .194 clip with 5 RBIs, no home runs and 3 runs scored. |
