Carter Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Monday, May 15th, 2023 Long hitting streaks don't happen very often and when they happen it perks up everybody's interest. No one knows how long it will go -- it could end tomorrow -- but baseball fans and Brenton Carter are enjoying the moment right now. The 18-year-old Texas Christian first baseman extended his string to 20 consecutive games in Jack Kaiser Stadium today. Carter got 1 hit, but the Saint John's Red Storm got the victory. They toppled the Horned Frogs 7-5. Brenton Carter struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Carter has collected 56 hits for the Horned Frogs this year, 7 of them home runs. He has also netted 27 RBIs and scored 38 runs while batting .326. |
