Robbins Belts Bunch of Base Hits Wednesday, May 10th, 2023 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. California's Stanley Robbins had a very special day against the Hawkeyes when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the California Golden Bears to a 14-4 win at Duane Banks Field. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Robbins said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Stanley Robbins singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Brent Phillips in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Zach Hardy in the 9th. Robbins's current batting average stands at .288 and he has chalked up 7 home runs and 25 RBIs. |
