Johnston Selected Top Player Monday, April 24th, 2023 Mitchell Johnston burst onto the NCAA stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie catcher for Duke garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 19-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .545 (12-for-22) with 5 home runs and 17 RBIs last week. For the season Johnston is batting .418 with 28 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 18 times and batted in 24. |
