His 5 for 6 performance at the plate unfortunately wasn't enough, as the Auburn Tigers lost the game 11-10. The 20-year-old third baseman told the press, "It was one of those days when everything clicked for me. I made solid contact, and the ball dropped in. But we dropped the game. End of story." Artie Frye singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
