Torres Stretches Hit String to 20 Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 Everyone in Maryland is getting excited about Armando Torres's hitting streak. The 19-year-old right fielder extended it today to 20 games with 4 hits against Michigan. The Terrapins took the Wolverines 14-1. Armando Torres singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Terry Jones in the 3rd, singled in the 4th and singled in the 6th. In the current season, Torres has put up a .500 batting average with 12 hits, 2 home runs, 5 RBI and scored 9 runs. |
