Great Stroke: Baker Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 Victor Baker had an answer for everything the Nashua Redlegs threw him today in the Nantucket 10-3 triumph at The Killing Field. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Nantucket shortstop went 5 for 5 in the game to put his name in the record book. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Baker said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Victor Baker doubled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Baker is batting .265 this season in 56 games with 1 home run, 23 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 49 hits in 185 at-bats. |
