Jaxx Marino Strikes out 16 Tigers Friday, September 15th, 2023 Ricardo Marino of the Erie Jaxx was something to behold at Jerry Uht Park. He fanned 16 Tigers en route to a 12-3 victory. Marino shackled Lee's Summit on 6 hits and gave up 1 walk in an outstanding performance. "That's as good as I've ever seen him throw," his manager said. "I've never seen so many bad swings in my life. These guys didn't have a chance." As for Marino, he had very little to say to after the game. "We won and that's the bottom line. I had a good game. And we beat Lee's Summit. Marino has made 33 starts this season, posting 18 wins and 8 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .216 against him and he has 279 strikeouts in 215.1 innings with a 2.63 ERA. |
