Bulldogs Fernando Díaz Wins ESL Award Monday, September 11th, 2023 So far in his young career, Fernando Díaz has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Eastern League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Newark Bulldogs first baseman hit at a torrid .391 clip as he collected 9 hits in 23 at-bats, 5 home runs, 11 RBIs and 7 runs scored. This season Díaz is batting .382 with 12 RBIs, 9 runs scored and 6 home runs. |
