Big Day with Bat: Banks 5-for-6 Friday, August 4th, 2023 Dan Banks had an answer for everything the Buffalo LightSabres threw him today in the Reading 12-7 triumph at LightSabre Stadium. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Reading left fielder went 5 for 6 in the game to put his name in the record book. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Banks said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Dan Banks singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Don Brown in the 4th, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year Banks has hit at a .464 clip with 11 RBIs, 5 home runs and 14 runs scored. |
