Southern League Announces #1 Player Monday, September 4th, 2023 At the age of 28, Sam Barnes might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The New Hampshire left fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .440 batting average. For his efforts Barnes collected the Southern League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 11 hits in 25 at-bats, 3 home runs and 9 RBIs last week in 7 games. So far this year in 110 games Barnes is hitting .243 with 25 home runs, 71 RBIs and 68 runs scored. |
