2023 NWL Top Player Trophy Given to Bennis Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 The manager of the Balzac Rams said he thinks Chris Bennis is only going to get better as he gets older. He may only be 24, but it will be hard to top the first baseman's 2023 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Northwest League Outstanding Hitter Award. His winning campaign featured a .284 batting average and a .380 on-base percentage this year. In 153 games he piled up 159 hits, 37 doubles, no triples, 48 home runs, 123 RBIs and 104 runs scored. Daryl Floyd of the Menlo Maniacs finished second in voting, while Mike Wright of the Bismark Border Guards finished third. |
