Weaver Rips 3 HR Sunday, September 3rd, 2023 Every now and then, the right things happen at the right time. Chad Weaver discovered that when he smashed three homers at The Star Zone during today's 8-2 win over the Las Vegas Stars. The Mexico City left fielder said in the postgame interview, "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them. The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Weaver finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 4 RBIs. Chad Weaver hit a two-run home run off Tim Harmon in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Greg Schaefer in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Bryan Avery in the 7th. This season Weaver is hitting at a .280 pace with 33 home runs, 111 RBIs and has scored 105 times. |
