Fuentes Belts 5 Hits Monday, August 21st, 2023 Next time the Missions might think twice about pitching to Pedro Fuentes. Today at Missions Ballpark the Vancouver left fielder really burned San Jose pitching, going 5-for-5 in the Vipers 13-1 triumph. "When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Pedro Fuentes singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Gabriel Moore in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jeff Campbell in the 9th. Fuentes is hitting at a .289 mark this season. His stats show 5 home runs, 35 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has played 70 games for the Vipers. |
