Tornados González Dominates Trout Slayers Sunday, September 10th, 2023 Everything clicked on the hill today for Manuel González of the Topeka Tornados as he hurled his club to a 6-0 shutout win over the Tuscaloosa Trout Slayers, limiting them to 3 hits while recording 7 strikeouts and yielding 1 walk. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Trout Slayers manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him." This year González has compiled a 9-7 record with a 4.95 ERA in 27 starts. |
