Miranda Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 History in the making. That's what the fans at Delorimier Stadium got to see today, when Zanesville outplayed the Timber Rattlers 15-3. Adrián Miranda of the Gunslingers came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Wisconsin. In the postgame press conference the Wisconsin skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." Adrián Miranda doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Drew Bailey in the 5th and singled in the 7th. For the season, Miranda is hitting at a .338 clip with 10 home runs, 50 RBIs and has scored 33 runs. He has 75 hits, 21 walks and a .405 on-base percentage. |
