Chalmers Hits in 20 Straight Games Thursday, August 7th, 2031 The Port Royal Disaster may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 4-1 to the Athletic Club KC Reserves, but Gary Chalmers continued to hit like a god. The catcher collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Chalmers is playing great and is on fire right now," Disaster manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Chalmers was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Gary Chalmers doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th and grounded out in the 7th. Chalmers is hitting .340 this year with 5 home runs and 42 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .371, 14 walks and scored 34 times. |
