3AAA Player of the Week, Trifone of Augusta Monday, June 23rd, 2031 It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Joey Trifone, the Augusta Timber Hawks 22-year-old second baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for M3L Triple A Player of the Week honors. He ripped 13 hits in 24 at-bats, compiling a .542 average with no home runs and 5 RBIs. This year Trifone has hit at a .341 clip with 26 RBIs, 5 home runs and 23 runs scored. |
