Vargas Named SL Batter of the Month Monday, September 1st, 2031 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 25 Jesús Vargas has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Athletic Club KC star can enjoy the numbers he put up in August, which have garnered him the nod as the United States Silver League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .427 average with 9 home runs, 22 RBIs and 26 runs scored. This season in 89 games Vargas is batting .336 with 27 home runs, 80 RBIs and has scored 72 times. |
