Macíel Hits in 25 Straight Games Saturday, August 16th, 2031 The Richardson City Thundercats may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 2-1 to the Rocky Mountain Nuggets, but Juan Macíel continued to hit like a god. The center fielder collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 25 games. "Macíel is playing great and is on fire right now," Thundercats manager Imran Kopitar said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Macíel was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Juan Macíel flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Macíel is hitting .375 this year with 5 home runs and 53 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .402, 14 walks and scored 44 times. |
