Buckner Collects Player of the Week Award Monday, September 1st, 2031 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the M3L Single A, but last week Greg Buckner of the Highwood Hawks reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Buckner rocked opposing pitching for a .474 average (9-for-19), 2 home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. This year Buckner is hitting .246 with 3 home runs and 15 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .298 clip and scored 27 runs. |
