Alfonso Zapata Out for Season Saturday, September 6th, 2031 A blow for Alfonso Zapata today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4 months with a torn meniscus. Zapata suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Panama City Piranhas are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Zapata's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date this year Zapata has won 3 and lost 2 with a 5.55 ERA, no saves and 35 strikeouts in 24 relief appearances. |
